Happened On 1st Feb. 2022

It was not actually a big deal but I just felt like writing down few of my experiences here in Cape Town, Western Cape South Africa.

On that date, after confirming my appointment with my car mechanic, I was on my way to the mechanic workshop when I suddenly heard a noise coming from the front driver's side wheel, probably from the wheel hub and I decided to stop by the road side in the middle of "not too safe area" of the road. I called my mechanic to see if he could come and tow the car or at least come fix it because obviously I can't drive with that noise to avoid damaging more things. He simply told me what to do after my long explanation on phone but I got no wheel spanner or anything in the boot to take the tire out!

I decided to wait for the mechanic to get done and drive to me. While waiting I saw a Xhosa South African guy who was waiting for a free ride home but none of the cars were able to slow down for him! I asked him to cross over to where I was just to have someone to talk to, and maybe see if I would help him to get home. We got talking for like I think 20 minutes and during our conversation, I realized that he had no cash on him for taxi and that I believe, was the reason he was looking for a free ride home. I asked him how much would be enough for him to take a proper public taxi home, and he said R18. I gave him R50  for taxi and another R20 to go to the nearest garage/gas station to buy us two small bottle water which I thought might cost R10 each. He left and came back after some minutes to tell me that the bottle water was R15 each and  I have to give him another R10 but I asked him rhetorical why didn't he buy them since he got R50 with him but I still didn't mind! I gave him R10 and he left. I waited for more than  an hour but he was nowhere to be found! I had to take a 5 minutes walk to the garage to buy my water and still didn't see him. That was when it was clear to me that he had gone home with the money! It's funny that I trusted him with my small cash, showed him love and treated him like a brother but he wasn't actually seeing the good sides or brotherly love rather he was busy thinking of what to gain from me! Another lesson learned.

Anyways, I got no wheel spanner to even start taking out the front tire so I called a friend who lives around the area, I guess 10 minutes away from where I was. He came and helped me out and I had to drive to the mechanic workshop at last though very late.

Thank your God that he did not hurt you nor cause you any harm in your course of trying to be nice to him. Pick a dying bee or a dying snake out of kindness and you would know the limitation of kindness. Just as goodness would never depart from the house of good people, so would sorrow never leave the house of evil people. Just focus more on being good and you with your children would reap the benefits of being good sooner or later. God bless you my brother. Much love
