Ghanaian actress sentenced to prison for posing nude in front of her son.

 Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to 90 days in prison for posing naked right in front of her son to celebrate his 7th birthday last year.

Akuapem Poloo, who became more popular after twerking for the female American rapper, Cardi B during her short visit to Ghana in 8th December 2019, pleaded guilty to the charges. According to the court, she committed domestic violence against her son for undermining his dignity. Though her judgement fall under the misdemeanor.

 The court first asked her to undergo a pregnancy test in any public hospital of her choice before considering 90 days jail terms. 

Some Ghanaian celebrities took to their different social media handles to protest against the prison terms. Some are really saying that it is not advisable to send a single mother to prison because she is the one taking care of her son. They created a hashtag to fight for her release #freeakuapempoloo 

 Some celebrities in Ghana wrote,  "I think it is a little harsh to separate a child from the mum just because of pictures taken...would want to plead with the law to pardon our sister." @Sarkodie
